Okay, there’s no doubt Danica Patrick is a smoking hot. But, I’ve struggled cheering for her the past couple years. Sure, I was there in 2005 when she was named the Rookie of the Year by the IRL and Indy 500. I even cheered for her in 2006 and 2007; but, I didn’t feel good about it last year. Now, I know why. Quite simply, I think she’s probably a bitch.
I don’t follow racing closely enough to remember the details; but, the first signs of her ego probably came to my attention when Eddie Cheever wrecked her car at Watkins Glen in 2006.
Since then, it seems like all Danica can do is whine; or, be really full of herself.
Sure, she won the IRL Japan 300 last month.
I listened to her pre-race interviews before the Indy 500 this year, and she was nothing but cocky. I appreciate that it takes one hell of an ego to hop in an open wheel race car traveling 220 mph around 2 1/2 miles in competition against 32 other cars; but, when Ryan Briscoe took her out of the 2008 Indy 500, she did nothing but whine again.
Maybe she has good reason, but for my money, if I’m going to support a female IRL driver, it’s going to be Sarah Fisher.

I taped the 500 and replayed the crash over and over. No doubt that he left the pits quickly like all drivers do but it appears to me that Danica could have – should have slowed down to avoit hitting him. Yes, the way I see it, she drove into him. Both at fault, There are a lot of near misses as drivers leave their pits in both Indy car and NASCAR so don’t put all the blame on him
Thanks Scott Blogger, I’ve been getting the same feeling. Happy I’m not the only one. Danica needs to tone it down before someone gets hurt. I also feel the same about Sarah Fisher. Since when do race car drivers lift or slow to let drivers coming from pit lane to enter the flow of the race. Yes there are near misses as drivers leave there pit BOX BUT not as they are getting up to speed exiting pit road to re join the race. She is going over 200 MPH and she is suppose to lift so Briscoe can merge I DONT THINK SO. She is there to do everything she can just like the others to get the win for her sponsors. I just get the feeling from your comments because she is female that she should not be racing with the other well known open wheel guys. I do not have a favorite driver. And I have seen the men WHINE just like Danica. NHRA this year alone has 3 women win in their top catagories. I also have watched her race and I think she is capable of handling an open wheel car. So get off her back!!! Let her race and see what happens in the points.
mike you must not have watched the race the wreck was in the pits and as for you question when do race car drives slow down? when there’s a car where they are trying to go because two objects can not occupy the same space. cars are not going 200 mph in the pits.
I think Danica popularity will fall each year yes she is hot but her true colors are starting to show.
From what i have just been reading she sounds a bit of a bitch..
Let her come over to F1 and strut her stuff up and down the pit lane. And then maybe she will shut some of the big headed F1 drivers up and put them back in there place.

Danica is definately smoking. But if you’re looking for another female drive to support, what about Milka? Another smoking hot IRL driver.
